Jinja was founded by Norma Silva in 2012. Norma achieved her Masters in Product Design in Barcelona before completing a further Masters in Set Design in Madrid. Favouring a more manual way of working, Norma's designs took on a handmade and personalised approach, underpinned by a strong desire to create beautiful yet sustainable products.

Norma believes that the designer has an important role to play in influencing the behaviour of the consumer. Jinja designs are crafted from 100% recycled materials, namely textile waste. The products are therefore sustainable and eco-friendly, showcasing responsible design.
Woven Basket - Terra
Norma's products are perfect for the modern home. The 'woven' style adds a unique touch where each item will be slightly different according to the thread used and the handmade nature of the piece. The dishes and baskets we stock here at Lusophile work beautifully on a console table to collect odds and ends, as a fruit bowl, or as a display dish on which to place a candle or diffuser. However you choose to style your Jinja piece, you are adding a one-of-a-kind design to your home.
